Project Upgrade is an Erasmus+ Key Action 2: Adult Education Project, aiming at refugees and migrants in the EU, in order to assist them through education and training to integrate in the EU society and labor market.
An educational platform was created which addresses at refuges/migrants and adult educators who work with refugees/migrants.
This project gives the opportunity to refuges/migrants with no prior experience, in benefiting a flexible up-to-date experience of training on the key topics related to EU culture, related job sector skills, soft skills, linguistic support and skills profile tool.
Moreover, the project will increase the multicultural capacity of adult educators’ professionals as being facilitators of learning through a multicultural capacity methodology which will enable them to create an inclusive, active and open educational environment with low stress level which is responsive to migrants/refugees needs.
After the projects’ completion, these trained educators will have a central role, as they have a strong impact on the attainment of migrant learners, being facilitators of learning and multipliers of ideas.
The project’s innovations and added value lies in the very fact that it does not merely seek to train trainers and refugees/migrants. The project goes beyond the training scheme as it incorporates the promotion of the EU culture diversity, access in OLS (Linguistic Support Tool) and the utility of EU Skills Profile Tool
