What is Upgrade?
Project UPGRADE is an Erasmus+ Key Action 2: Adult Education project, aiming at refugees and migrants in the EU in order to assist them through education and training to integrate in the EU society and labor market.
UPGRADE has its own e-learning platform, where refugees and adult educators will be able to log-in and upgrade their skills.

I am an adult educator/ trainer/ practitioner who works with refugees/migrants can I use the ResupportMi e-tool?
Ultimate goal is about increasing opportunities for refugees/migrants‘ professional development and improving their skills for employability.
Training courses are offered to adult trainers and practitioners about upskilling their intercultural communication to become more efficient when training refugees and migrants in developing skills.
You can use the ResupportMi e-Tool to as an extra tool to your teaching material and help refugees/migrants to upgrade their skills, learn about the European Culture, the diverse identities and cultures in Europe and get to know other usefull EU tools that will help them to their smoother integration in EU.
Also, you have the opportunity to follow Intercultural Communication Webinars that will help you understand the importance of proper communication between different cultures, the gaps and misunderstandings that could be caused if we do not know this culture well and how this could be avoided.
Finally, through RessuportMi e-Tool you have the opportunity to get a certification in Inter-Cultural Communication that you can apply without a fee! More information about the procedure you can find in the question “How I could become become Certified Inter-Cultural Communication Trainer?”
How is the UPGRADE project financed?
There is no need to wonder who supports the #project. The project is a Key Action 2: Adult Education project under the Erasmus+ Program of the European Union.
The State Scholarships Foundation is the National Authority of the Erasmus+ Program in Greece. Since 1987, IKY bears the responsibility of administration, co-ordination, implementation and dissemination of European Union Programmes for Education. Continuing this tradition, in 2014 IKY was appointed as National Agency for the new European Union Erasmus+.
How I could become Certified Inter-Cultural Communication Trainer?
The total work you will need will be approximately 50 hours and the certification will be valid for 3 years.
In order to get the certification you must complete successfully all the parts (Part A, Part B, Part C)
Part A
Work load for this part: 40 hours
A1. Study the four online modules content and write a 200 words executive summary for each module.

A2.1. Work and submit the case study No5 from the Intercultural Communication Webinar with minimum
800 words;

Part B
Work load for this part: 10 hours
Produce a video of 3 minutes exploring cultural consultation and communication between you and a refugee/migrant. The video should be submitted as a YouTube link;
Part C
A minimum of 100 hours verified training/working/counselling hours offered by the applicant to refugees/migrants. Submit and official letter of employer or otherwise that provide evidence of the 100 hours work.
